Backups work sometimes but not all the time
 

I have had this problem with playing my backed up PS2 games on numerous occasions.....

Ill back up a game then play it. Ill try playing the same game a little while later and either it doesnt recognize it as a PS2 game or the ps2 logo will come on and it will lock up after that.

Is it the cds im using, the program i use to back up my games or WHAT??

Need a little more info......

What brand cd's are you using?
What program are you using?
What type of mod chip do you have?
What version is your PS2?
Have you cleaned the laser recently?

Try and give as much info as possible, as it helps us try to track down what the problem is...

Right now im using MITSUMI, i usually use NERO 5, my chip is supposedly a magic 3, model is SCPH-39001

I havent cleaned the lazer at all but most backups still work everytime. What is a good lazer cleaner??

The problem is likely the fault of your Magic 3. It is notorious for booting and freezing problems.

You are also better off using RecordNow Max instead of Nero.

I use this cleaner.
