Ok.........I have succesfully ftped to my box and I can bring data from my box to my computer....I tried to backup KOTOR and I did just as the tutorial said..... ftped to the box...copied everything from my d drive to my computer.... Then using Record now Max I made a data dvd...... I burned at 1x and everything went ok....But it wont boot...Hmmmmmmmm.... Should I do the iso thing....thats what I am going to try next.....Any suggestions are appreciated....

all the new games have the media check. there are 2 ways around this

1 update you'r bios ( if you'r mod chip's bios can be updated)
2 use a tool like iso craxtion to patch the default.xbe file prior to burning the disc

Also, this thread might help, as I no longer support patching programs.

a lot of people are gonna find this funny but I have an updated bios AND I patch the xbe file. That way wherever I bring my games any one of my friends with a modded box can play my back-ups.

I have the apple 2.1 I think......How can I update my bios....
PM me if you want......And.....How do I edit the xbe......
Perhaps a program that I do not have... ;-)

you can ask how to update the bios but not where to get them. If you're not sure how to then I'd just use a patching program. The best one is craxtion. It's well worth the download.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

IsoCraxtion....Ok I have that....I was just trying to save a step by doing the data burn.....So I can ftp to the box...copy stuff...
then use craxtion....and Voila....My backups will work.....Right?

Such a novice.......Ah....but give me time......Still be a novice.....But much wiser...Well....not really
