xbox no modchip
 

Hello every one! just have a slight problem,
my xbox boots cd's but not dvd's or games ,is it out of alignment or do I need a new lens?
also is there someone in the ny vicinity who's capeable of this job;)

I never heard of this problem. Maybe someone switched it with a cd drive? j/k.

hmm, the dvdrom would be my first choice. If the lens were bad then it wouldn't be picky to only CD's. Other than that the only thing I can think of is someone tried to strengthen the laser and was very unsuccessful. If your xbox is under warrenty I suggest you take it back.

That is interesting. Describe what it does do. Does it come up with the MS Xbox logo? Is it chipped? Did you mess with the pots to screw around with that laser? What are you trying to boot? Your very first backup or an original game?

there isn't any chip in it, it just stops loading when it 's a dvd, there are visuals on the screen i'm loading original games
