I've just bought myself a Mirror 4x Speed DVD+R/RW/CD-R/RW Combo Drive, Here's the specs address for more information...

basically I just want to know if what i've bought here is a quality piece of hardware thats gonna copy me movies, ps2, psx, xbox and pc games... or if iv gone and bought myself a nice new paperweight... Any help is appreciated :)

Ouch! You way overpaid. You could have got the newest Pioneer(king of dvd burners) the 106 for £138.99 here

Damn.. well can you point me to somethin fool proof to write so i can test my dvd writers capabilities? an easy game or movie or summet? Something that has No... wierd safedisc type things on it. hehe :)

Download the RecordNow Max demo here and burn a ps2 dvd game. Follow the backup procedures sticky on the ps2 board.
