Just some newbie questions
I was usually on the DC forum but I expanded myself to Xbox :P
I bought an Xbox some time ago and a friend and me succeeded into doing the 007 trick on both our consoles and running xlinux. I must say im very impressed by this EvoX thing.... and it doesn't even cost a modchip. But What I want to know is what are the best emulators to use for Genesis, gba and mame, all of them on this site are from 2002, are there later releases? Also, is there a compatibility list for N64 roms as sin and punishment and zelda 1 etc do not work on my box? I do know roms above 32mb won't work. And finally, after having soldered my box Can i just run ORIGINAL import games (ie soul calibur 2) w/o any problem or is that still protected? Just do be sure. I don't wanna buy an expensive import only to find out it doesn't work :D thanks. |
Well...
1. "best" emulator is hard to say depending on what features you want most - they change revisions quite often usually as many people are interested in them and it is largely worked on by homegrown programmers so an up to the minute complete report on all would be a real pain - I *think* I saw a listing of some at Xbox-scene sometime though 2.again, due to the fact that there is not a single organization controlling any majority of emu development it depends on what game you are trying to play on which emu - (of all the emus I've worked with the N64 ones have the most bugs and least support) 3. Yes, you can run Jap games. |
thanks,
Well I just searched for the latest updated and got them A DCgen emu and Mame beta 7. Didn't upload them yet, but can't wait to check some elite games. any chance xmen vs sf or any cps2 fighter runs good? would be ace. Quite cool that i can run jap games then... might pick up some imports i just want original. |
