i just got a new flip top modchip for my ps2 and i have installed it but i don't have a clue on how to burn ps2 games.

i can do it until it gets to the part where i have to patch the file i go to http://www.issextreme.com/scripts/ar...le=31#patching

and i can follow it until the patching part because i don't know where the hell to get the patches so please someone help me because i am completly lost.

i will be back to check this probably tmr or on monday

What don't you understand? Read the backup procedures sticky here. It is step by step directions. You want to use RecordNow Max for DVD games and CloneCD for Cd games.

i have read it but what about patching? that's where im stuck i don't know where to get nor how to apply patches and i use the swap method with the ps2 flip top case thing.

Hmm..... if it doesn't say you have to patch do you think you should patch? Read the instructions and all should be clear..... that's why people take time to write these instructions, so people don't have to keep asking questions. Some People.....

well can i use the gameshark version 3.0? or do i have to order the swap disc and i thought that the swap discs don't work in canada so if you can help me then great and if not well umm **** you

Gameshark 3.0 won't work. Try to get 2.0 or an older version, that is if you have a system older than v7. If you have a v7 or newer than you are stuck with using the swap magic discs.

damn but do the swap disc work in canada? or do i have to go out and buy a gameshark version 2?

The swap magics will work.....

They are NTSC consoles. (Same as US)

what if i bought a new modchip? wich would be the best to get and would allow me to play all my games?

A new mod is definately the best route. Messiah 2 is tops. Boots everything everytime, no questions asked.

what about the price of it? and what do i need to get it to work like do i need to buy more then one modchip thing or swap somethin? but other than that it would be the smart move to buy a different modchip and just screw the other one i just bought because isn't that just a huge waste of money and i don't know about you but i don't have money coming out of my ass i am flat out broke right now so what im trying to say is will it be the smart thing to do and wait until i have the money and get the other one instead.



also one thing that really concerns me is the istallation of the modchip, is it easy to instal if you have no clue about the inside of the ps2?
