Does anyone know any more info? I am curious as to what they plan to do?

What exactly are they trying to hack into? and why? just to cause chaos?

I work for a major ISP in Canada and I hear daily stories about peoples modems being hijacked and they are billed for all kinds of things like porn sites or long distance, then I hear about the viruses. I feel sorry for these people, I mean come on if there lives are that pathetic that they enjoy giving people this grief.

I don't care so much for the big corporations but the little guy like you and mean why F them over??

it was so they could run linux on a xbox with no mod it changes a font file in the dash board. they told micro$oft if they didnt give them a boot loader then they would release the info but M$ didnt want to give them a boot loader

i believe you are refering to the hackothon. this is basically a contest to see who can hack 6000 web sites in 1 day the person who does this or comes closest wins 500mb of web space and a free domain name.

That alot of work just for 500MB of space and a free domain name:D

it's not about the prize the real test is to see who is the best hacker on the net. the prize was just a after thought.
