new to this game
Hi everybody
As my title suggests im a total novice and am seeking your wisdom and advice. Simply how do i burn games. Ive download various programs, that burning websites have suggested, im just wondering what i do next. ive got Nero Diskjuggler Winrar Fireburner Isobuster Cdrwin Dummy file creator and lots of guides that make no sense ive downloaded a number of dreamcast game roms from kazaa. so ive not had a problem finding games. I also cant find a guide on how to burn directly from a disk to a cdr, is this because dreamcast disk are gd roms? and if so is there a way to extract the files directly from the disk. (ive heard of ripping software) Anyway if anyone can give me advice, or suggest any websites that help, plmk Thanks for your time Darren |
With Dreamcast games the only burning software you will ever need is Discjuggler:) and you have that:)
You cant just copy a Dreamcast GDrom in a PC but you can get the files of the disc using a coders cable or Broadband Adaptor but its not easy to do if your new to it:) |
I use Discjuggler, ofcourse winrar to unrar the filesets and sometimes nero or cdrwin for burning if the files aint DJ compatible (most are Discjuggler though so that program is a MUST). I don't think kazaa has real DC iso's as i never found them on it... better check if it are real DC games by checking it with Daemon tools or something. Are those games about 600 mb+?
GD rom to PC burning is Impossible forget about it. What those guys do is kind of uploading it via DC broadband adapter to PC and then rip files to make the game fit (ie 700mb) on a CDR. I don't know anyone in real life who has the tools and is able to do this, so i stick to downloading. Get the Utopia boot disk as there are quite some games which require it to start, in particular all games downloaded in .bin .cue format (cdrwin). anyway check: http://wumarkus.com/pages/dcfaq.html |
