yes it is true. i realy hope the xbox does not go the way of the dreamcast now. that would be a real shame.

I don't think that will happen. If that did happen all we would have left is the PS2, what a hell that would be.

well ms may have the money, but that means nothing for a console if publishers slowly stop developing for the system, like the dc version i believe.

what i meant is this. if there is a software hack for the xbox simular to the dreamcast boot cd then every one and i mean every one will stop buying original games and just use pirate copy's. if this did happen like what happened to the dreamcast, games developers would stop making games ( why make games for a system only to loose millions of dollers) aka boom just like the dreamcast.


sorry for the late reply i had a power surge and fried both pc's still cant use isdn so i'm religated to a anologue modem. ( damn surge protector didn't work)

thats true yeah i never thought of it like that but u dont need a modchip to play a ps2 back up, u can do the knife trick with an action replay

yeah and kill your ps2 if your not carful the disc tray slider thingy can break off. it happened to mine so now i have a v5 ps2 with no top on it and an untouched v7 ps2 and i desided to put a mod in the v5 anyway because i just use it to play pgen and snes station now i need to get some money for a new slider. im thinkin ill just get a new one and put a apple in its much safer

cheaper than buying a new ps2 and soldering a modchip on

id rather go with the mod because at some point i want to gat a dvd burner and newer games will not work with it
