ColinMcRae3, Fade-Copy-Protect

This game is protected with fade. How can me send a crack for fade? The game runs with the exe from gamecopyworld, but the game stops, because fade is working

TippeX 20-06-2003 06:44

since when was securom+triggers = fade.. pull your head out of ur arse and stop running round like a headless chicken in a panic

viperspit01 20-06-2003 23:33

fade is bascially like in-game triggers...often the game will go to desktop, charectors wont move in the game, objects arent available.......in game textures wont load....basically the game can slowly or rapidly degenerate where you jsut cant play it....there are ways around this.....we've all seen how fade works in the sims: superstars with the good old charactors not being able to move and items like telephones that you just cant see!

its just the d*ckhead game developers once again trying to make genuine game buyers suffer by trying to make legal back-up copies of their legally purchased games........but the developers always lose........

TippeX 21-06-2003 08:21

wrong, fade in operation flashpoint for example was totally related to the cdkey, the problems you describe are securom triggers, 'fade' (at least in the pc format) is not quite what codemasters claim it to be

sims superstars was also NOT FADE

if you are gonna cite game names and protection issues, at least research the subject before you comment on it

I appreciate whay you're saying, Tippex - but why do groups produce an exe that claims to be a "crack" when the game still doesn't work properly . . .or is there a way round it and, if so, what ??

Why do people release buggy software?
They don't intentionally release the crack knowing that it doesn't work - they would never release something they knew didn't work as it damages their reputation.
It is just that securom+triggers is relatively new and it can be hard to find ALL of the triggers.
The solution is to download the crackfix that inevitably comes out - either from the same group or by a rival group.

The reason they can't always find all of the triggers, is that some triggers only happen very late in the game. They would have to play the game from start to finish a few times to be really sure they didn't overlook anything, and that's a lot of work. Couple that with the competition to be the first to bring out a crack and you get the current problems. Just wait a bit, some crack groups like gimpsRus like nothing more than correcting buggy cracks...

Sorry, I should have explained myself better. It's been known for quite a while that Codemasters games have this protection that causes games to go haywire.

Unless the guy who started this thread is a gaming genius, I would imagine that he is not deep into the game so you would imagine that the crackers would test it a bit to protect their reputations . . .knowing how tricky the Codemasters protection is.

viperspit01 21-06-2003 19:52

actually if your referring to codemasters "operation flashpoint" which we all know when you start the game you get the little message detailing that the game will "slowly degenerate to where you cant play it" Is actually false, many deveolpers do this in there game and of course it isnt true...just a little warning to make you think twice about burning and distrubuting the games...nothing more than a bull****....

Oh and Tippex im sorry that i made such a big mistake....i dont want to mess with such an expert like you....obviously you know nothing about what you have said....what did you go to a protection website and do the copy and paste??!! Do you steal other groups cracks and claim them as yours?? Do you use UnsafeDisc 2 or Safedisc 2 cleaner and remove the cd checks and protections from games exe's and then release them as your own cracks? Do you remove the .nfo's from game cracks and replace them with your own?? I would bet 100 bucks you do......

Ok so the sims superstar has sucrom triggers right or so you probably claim? It has safedisc 2 you stooge...so before you have a go at ay one else GET YOUR OWN F**KING FACTS RIGHT!!!

TippeX 21-06-2003 20:33

thx cirkutz ;)

and viperspit01 u do owe me 100 , you're completely wrong, you dont know me and i do know a lot more on the subject than you so i'd advise you to stop while you're behind

viperspit01 22-06-2003 00:31

How exactly do i owe you tippex?? you are wrong.......

oh and operation FP has safedisc 2 so how exactly does it have securom *new* triggers in it?? I would be very happy to know your explaination for this......

Fade is the generic name given to the form of protection used in the game, many, many games use it, but its not officially "FADE", just similar in-game triggers.......the sims superstar uses this form of protection not officially known as FADE but in all respects similar......

viperspit01 22-06-2003 00:38

i'd like to, yeah....but nah........

TippeX 22-06-2003 03:39

operation flashpoint = safedisc 2, and 'fade' which is completely related to the cdkey that you type in on install, theres about 8 or so checks done on the key to check its 'validity', the installer only performs about 6 of these, the game does the other 2, so you might have a valid install key, which is really an invalid key and it is officially fade, the ****ing splash screen at the start says so ...

sims superstar uses safedisc + 2 crypted code chunks (sd2 api)
and fade is far from a generic name, its trademarked by codemasters.. like cirk said give it up you're ill informed.. and as for oweing me 100.. i refer you to your previous comment

"Do you steal other groups cracks and claim them as yours?? Do you remove the .nfo's from game cracks and replace them with your own?? I would bet 100 bucks you do......"

my reply : nope i dont, so u owe me 100

if you're gonna try and keep this up, at least read what you typed previously..

viperspit01 22-06-2003 23:42

ok your the man Tippex.....you win...........

cdkiller 23-06-2003 03:39

what a funny thread

@viperspit01
