ISS3 and bloodrayne trouble (latest securom)
I have this trouble with latest securom games on my win98se system:
ISS3 and Bloodrayne will run only the first time...the second time give a illegal operation on address 000:bc00xxxx and the games don't run! After a reboot is all ok for the first run! the same problem with the original and the copies! maybe securom is buggy with 98se?? |
What say the official game support about that problem ?
|
I don't think that is a game problem but protection problem.
I think that on the game exit the memory is not clear and some process remains active. I will write to software house about this but i want know is there is someone that have the same problem... |
Mmmmm.... have you tried to use (1) cracks or (2) Alcohol120% to make an image and mount that ? If nr (2) also crashes, it's definitely a securom problem.

I have tried: DON't WORKS!
With or without Alcohol EMULATION, ORIGINAL and NOT ORIGINAL, removing all the programs in the tray and in the win98se startup... The games play one time...after the first time i must reboot to play again! All securom protected game win 98se...is it possible that this problem is only a my problem??? For me is a bad use of memory for securom protection that not kill all processes after quit game. |
And other games play ok ? It could very well be a securom problem. Go to the publisher/developer's forums for the game and demand they do something about it, after all it was their dumb idea to use securom :D You might want to keep checking out cracks, some crack groups rip out all securom related code, so with those cracks you might have better luck. Have you tried a gimpsRus crack (those are usually pretty good, don't know if they did one for those games). And another thing, windows 98 is getting more and more unsupported, it's a very real possibility that future securom games won't work under win 98 anymore...
