The Dye Types
 

What's the difference between the various Dye Types (Type 0, Type 1 and so on)?
I know that, for example, Type 1 and 4 are both Cyanine, so why are they classified in different Types?
Is Type 1 better than 4, maybe?
Or is it a cd-r color matter?
And what's the real difference between Cyanine and PhthaloCyanine in fact of quality and durability?
I think I'm not the one who's searching for an answer about that things..
