RGB Fixed Games Picture Quality

I noticed that the games which are RGB Patched such as Street Fighter Alpha 3 (kal-sfa3) and others have a poorer picture quality than the PAL versions which already have true RGB support.

In Street Fighter Alpha 3 (kal-sfa3) with the RGB patch applied, the picture has faint lines going across from top to bottom which are quite faint but can easily be seen.

Also I compared Last Blade 2 US & JAP versions and the JAP version also has this problem but the US version does not.

Is there any way to remove this distortion?

I'm using a NTSC/U Dreamcast with a RGB Scart Cable on a 50Hz/60Hz TV. The same problem also occurs on a PAL & JAP Dreamcast at my friends house on his TV.

It's a frequency and lines number problem.

Patches (most of the time) have only an effect on "protection". Something like "if the DC is not US, then EXIT" is converted to "if the DC is not US, continue anyway"...

There might be a way to do what you want, but you'll probably need to completely rewrite all the code of your 1st_read.bin in assembler.

I'm getting the PAL release of Street Fighter Alpha 3 (xkf-sfa3) and checking if it has the same problem.

It shouldn't since PAL games have native support for RGB :)

Also did the original Dreamcast GD-ROM Street Fighter Alpha 3 have MONO sound or only the rips?

It can't be a frequency and lines problem since the PAL version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 also has the same problem in 50Hz & 60Hz mode using a RGB Scart Cable.

It was "generally speeking".
NTSC game are designed for 60 Hz.
Some PAL TVs support 60 Hz (most of them now...) but PAL was first 50 Hz.
