can anyone help me. got recordnow max software followed all the correct procedures but still having prob`s.
equipment sony dru-500a
disks bulkpaq dvd-r generation4 2x
some times will not reqignise disks but then when it does and says the jobs complete it still does not boot up in my ps2
and also getting problems ie bad sector in verificaion proceedure

Sounds weird, like bunk DVD-Rs or something.

I have the external version of that burner and use RecordNow Max and have never seen anything like that.

I have a sony dru500ax I had a problem with 1/2 burns and error messages..I switched the jumpers to slave and no more coasters...give it a shot!!!hope it helps

Disableing DMA is also a known fix for Sony burners.

bulkpaq gen04 are 4x???
my guess is u got crap media

try diff brand bfore scratching your head
my m8 has a05 cheaper brands gives him same trouble all the time

ritek 4x media is cheap enough

Bighap is right I forgot...I did disable the dma..this also was done while setting the jumper 2 slave......tell us how it goes if u try it!

What version of Record Now Max are you using? They had an upgrade on their website to go from any 3x/4x to 4.5 that's free. I had to upgrade mine to get it to work with my dru500a. Also you might want to clean off the original before making the .gi file.

thanks for all your help just done a firmware upgrade and seams to be ok
