How to make a copy of Freelancer

I'm trying to make a copy of Freelancer with Alcohol 120% but can't seem to make it work.
This is what I do. I put the original cd in the burner and make an image on the HD with the.mds format (is this right?).
After this is done I burn the image on the fresh disk.
After this the program won't start from the copyied disk.
Does anyone have any suggestions or what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Jorge

Has no one been able to make a working backup for this game?

yea i have

this game is copyrighted so when you make the image you ahve to put the type on Safedsic 2+, when you go to burn the image you have the put the type on Safedisc 2+ again. please state your model and maek of your burner, so i can tell if it can make exact copies without emulation.

p.s. when you make the image use the cd-rw drive

Hi Josh,

Well I did what you said, since my DVD won't make 1:1 copies.
My burner is a Philips CDRW 2400 series, just 1 year old.
Thanks anyway,

Jorge

Sheesh

If somebody's done this before, sorry...here's what I do and it works FLAWLESSLY

- COPY the entire CD to your HD in a CD specific folder

- COPY the cracked files into there in another folder called CRACKS or FIXES or whatever

- BURN the CD with NERO, calling the CD it's ORIGINAL name

- INSTALL the CD, copy the crack over from your CD into your installed dir

-****in PLAY !! :D

This works with every game, as long as you have working crack.

(If you also have a protected setup.exe you must also replace this one, of course)
