New to this
i am looking to mod my xbox i am a capable at soldering but was wondering if there is an advantage to a solder one over a no solder and which chip is the best and how can i tell which version mine is also i want to play on xbox live so i would need one that turns off
|
Generally, solder chips are better (all the chips that are no-solders can also be soldered). If you use a nosolder, or choose to not solder a chip, then it might slip out of place. Most chips that aren't soldered have to be re-aligned every now and then.
To play on XBL, you do need an on/off switch or you will be banned...perminately I suggest you get the X2-lite, it is preflashed, is a solder chip (but has an add-on that costs extra to make it a no-solder), and works with all versions of xbox. If you want to see what version your xbox is, go to www.xbox-scene.com . There is a link near the top to a "version guide". |
This is the on right? sorry for all the questions

yah, that chip is great. That includes the pogo-pin adapter, which makes it a no-solder chip (and adds about $15 to the cost).
If you can solder and are confident in soldering the xbox, I suggest you get the solder chip here. It will save you some money and it won't slip out of place. |

|
well, if you upgrade your HDD, then you don't have to lug around any dvd's (until it is filled). You can run the games off your HDD, And emulators/apps.
