Whats Wrong?????
 

I have just bought my son a ps2 with messiah 2 chip its lasted 5 days he was playing a game when the screen went blank,he switched off and tried to start again but now the blue light on the eject tray is not on,hence cant open tray and there is no sound of the laser spinning,so all he has is a blank screen and it switches on and off thats it,To top that off the guy i bought it off has gone on a weeks holiday hence 1 seriously mardy 9 yr old (lol) and 1 bored 44 yr old (lmao) I no i cant do out about it but im interested in feed back.

something is shorting,maybe it has blown a fuse now maybe not

solder ball moves and causes short or wire come off and is shorting is main things i can think of

my advice is to leave it alone until your installer returns
the more yuo use it the more chance of blowing a fuse,blue light not on it could possibly of blown the ba58 chip or the fuse to it

Maybe something came dislodged. the chip may have moved, or wires come adrift or touched each other.

It needs to go to the installer of the modchip for inspection.
