Won't happen. Look, even if there was one, one would still have to rip the game to his PC to play it, since a normal PC DVD-Rom can't read the XBox's DVDs. So one would still have to have an XBox in the first place to rip the game. If one has a real XBox, why would one want to play it on one's PC?

it won;t happen for a long time out but eventually there will be one somewhere....probably in like 5 to 10 years or so. As with all systems somebody somewhere is working on how to crack apart and break down a system.

its a shame....

I dont follow ???

I run an Amiga emulator on my PC, but didnt boot up my amiga to read the floppys ( which the PC cannot read anyway ), I have no slot in the X-box case for either the sega Emu, or Nintendo Emu to access the propriety carts they came with, ect ect ...

All my back up DVD`s read just fine on the PC.

An X-box emu, its proberbly possible. Todays high end graphics cards with 2.0gig + computers have enough power, although i expect MS lawers will be all over it like white on rice !!

Put it this way it would be easier to buy a Xbox if you wanted to play the games.

An amiga is slightly different from a PC :)

It may be possible in a few years, with new PC disc-drive hardware, until then... no :(

wizzer 11-05-2003 10:40

The same could be said for any emulator ...

Of course, if you like a game buy the original on the proper machine.

xbox on pc = a very long wait (years). It's possible, but it will be years. And thats only to get the games emulated, creating good sound pluggins and getting games to run at even 25% speed will take a while.
