How to backup PS2 games
 

I have a chipped PS2 and a DVD writer

Can someone please advice me on the best way to backup PS2 games so I can play them on my chipped PS2

RecordNow Max is the best program for dvd games and CloneCd for cd games. Follow the tutorials in the backup procedures sticky.

Will I need to apply a patch to the image or will they all work fine

The only time you really need to apply a patch is when you are converting the game from pal to ntsc or vice versa.
