Onimusha 2 backup was working perfecly yesterday..
My original works fine, and my backup was also, it just suddenly stopped working, it would take minutes to load after equipping a weapon and sometimes never even boots! The original has no scratches neither does th backup, do you think I need a cd cleaner? I have tried my other dvd originals and backups and they boot fine.
|
The laser could need cleaning, but it is likely just a bad burn.
|
Hmm, but I burned the game just like I always do, none of my originals have any scracthes so I doubt it was a bad burn, i'll go pick myself a cd lens cleaner, thanks for the help Bighap.

maybe u was doing other things while the dvd was burning and cause it to not work right
|
Nope, all programs and dsl were closed.

if it worked one day and then doesnt the next, I can see 3 possible problems,
1, Mod has been knocked and has come lose. maby a wire isn't connected anymore? 2, Your laser has died or is in a worse state than it once was... 3 the information on the disk has become corrupt , the least likly of the 3 but can happen when **** media is used, Check your mod, recallibrate your laser.. only use verbatim, Apple & ritek media as they are the most reflective they are more friendly to your laser... wot media r u using.
I had this problem a long time ago with cheap bad dvd-r media that would work perfectly one day and then seem to lose the write off it. If u using cheap media then it has probably degraded beyond a reasonable reading threshold for the ps2 laser, where as yesterday it was just on the threshold. |
have to agree with the media
especially cheap media if u left it in sunshine or similar |
For some reason the game just started working, weird? But I use TDK dvd's btw.
|
Well TDK's are supposed to be quite good - strange happenings. In the future though, try and get some Apple, Verb or Ritek as they are quite simply the best.
