Anyone else have trouble with Burn Out 2 and MVP
I have the latest Evox and the Xecutor 2, I have tried turning off the IGR, I tried patching the default.xbe but noticed that there are 3 xbe dasboardupdate.xbe and update.xbe I tried patching all three as a last resort.
What happens is it goes back to the Evox main screen?? Any ideas?? Now I have done 4 games 2 work 2 don't MVP baseball just goes to a black screen Burn Out 2 resets the evox screen?? |
Don't have the game, and it to late at night to go rent and it and see what it needs to run.
Maybe you got a bad copy of it. Try FTPing the whole game again. You should also find and update your bios to the new X2 4975 bios. This ver. of the bios has an auto-patcher for the new meida flag. This way you won't have to patch games. So if you were to update your bios to this new ver. and the game still didn't play, you know its your copy. |
i think you did a bad backup
i backed it up today and had no problem with it.. just applied the patch for him and that´s it :) |
Heres my situation
I have tried backing up 4 games all with a crossover cable from PC to XBox. I have managed to save and run MotoGP, Collin McRae I can't get MVP Baseball or Burn Out 2 to work. I have tried a couple of things I tried updating my EVOX but that didn't work I had igr off still didn't work and tried transfering again from the PC back still didn't work. I then tried patching the default.xbe that didn't work there are three xbe in Burnout 2 wasn't sure if that may be the culprit.
When I load BurnOut2 it resets back to the evox screen when I load MVP it goes to a black screen?? I would sure appreciate any advice and help!!! |
OK its all good...
Thanks again I updated the bios and the game loads fine, thanks alot I just couldn't figure it out.
I thought the patching would do it but I guess not anyways the new updated BIOS works great. |
I have a pal xbox with an xecutor 1.1 - I tried to backup Burnout2 the usual way and it just resets to the evox menu. Indian Jones worked perfectly, that was done 10 minutes after Burnout, I tried to do Burnout a second time but still no joy.
I can't see a patch for it anywhere but you guys mention a patch - whats it for, whats it do, where is it? :P Thnx |
This “patch” is used to by-pass Microsoft’s new media check bite.
All the new games have this. Theres two ways to beat this media check. 1) Is to download a program and patch the default.xbe of the game with: XBE/ISO Media Patcher v2.0 by Copyhaunters XBEMIDP2 by L!M!T ADR Patcher 0.5 Xbox Media Check Fix by ADR-UK NOTE: Both XBEMIDP2 and ADR Patcher 0.5 Xbox Media Check Fix contain updated code, so they can patch newer games like Red Faction 2. XBE/ISO Media Patcher v2.0 does not. 2) Update your BIOS to X2 4975 or above. I would recommend getting X2 4976.02, just b/c it’s the newest. I would also recommend updating your BIOS over patching the game b/c you don’t have to go though the BS of patching each new game the comes out. You mite also need to update EvoX to 1.8.3752 Seems some games do not play right with older EvoX vers. I believe Indian Jones was signed right before Microsoft started this new media check, so there for it wouldn’t have it. But I know Burn Out 2 was signed with this new media check. So you will either have to patch it, update your BIOS and possibly update EvoX for it to play correctly. |
Thanx for the info m8 - unfortunately, XBEMIDP2 didn't seem to find anything to patch in the default.xbe and I can't even find ADR Patcher 0.5 Xbox Media Check Fix from that link.
I'll keep looking tho - thnx again |
All right, than I would just suggest updating your BIOS then.
|
Looks like they withdrew ADR Patcher 0.5 Xbox Media Check Fix because xbox-scene did a direct link to it - just 'kin typical
I dont think i can flash my chip can i?, it's a 1.1 xecutor |
I'm not sure if you can flash the X1.1 or not.
I will do some searching and find out. |
All right, I finly found what I was looking for.
Sorry to say the X1.1 cant be flashed. |
So far, i`ve been using HDD loader v1.1 to install games on the HD, as it auto patches the reqd files.
Then you can FTP it at your leasure ... Quote:
