unable to copy robocop?
new robocop by titus proves to be a tricky title to copy correctly.
I am aware it uses tages but despite a raw copy using alcohol and a swap of the new exe that has just been made available at the GCW site although the game starts up ok and bypasses the protection thanks to the fixed crack the game just will not run at the 1st start up screen as the game actually starts after the menus? what is worrying is if the original cd is put in instead the game proceeds and runs ok ? dismissing my thoughts that the exe just didnt work!!! with the copied disc an error comes up for "EXE" obviously meaning in this case that somehow my copy just is not right somehow? has anybody successfully manged a full working copy using the fixed exe which obviously is needed with the title being tages if so how did you do it what did you use and what were your settings? thanks in advance. |
tages can NOT be cloned currently by ANY of the cloning tools publically available, simply due to the nature the cdrom is made up, duplicate sectors etc.. are quite hard to make into an image that you can burn.. so any possible cloning of tages cdroms using existing software today is futile, the best you can hope for is possibly a mountable image (like the one for motoracer 3), burning that image tho aint possible.. so the frogs did a nice bit of work on tages, its still crackable though

you have to laugh i think titus spent more on the copy protection than making the game. Bless titus

when will we see it ? next update on gcw?also do you test them before release? as the zsdox fix currently on the main page at gcw does not actually work it by passes the protection but wont run the game! wondered if you knew?

I submitted the IMMERSION crack yesterday or the day before (May 4 or 5, don't rem  ) and have verified that it works as a fixed exe AND a NoCD crack...at least in XP it works, I don't have any other OS's installed. When you boot the game without the disk, it will say "please insert the CD", just click "cancel", you will get a black screen, just left click the mouse(or hit enter) and it will run. I played through level one and a little into level 2 without a disk, so it should be fine. ;)
As for when it will show at GCW, I don't know. |

As SafeDisc. Are develop by MacroVision. And used by many gamers. Normaly the CD-Printer company can convert the data to Protection. Then the GameDevoleper get the hands of a warper, so they can propper patch and stuff like that with the same protection. And looking for the same thing in the CD (so it finds out that it is a original CD and that you can't put in another game original CD that's are SafeDisc protected) Just some basic about how the Safedisc works. |
wow krondike, information about safedisc, wonderful .. considering we are talking about tages its kinda off topic no?
|
I've just explained basic about how the devoleper propper the program with SafeDisc.
And most of the information kind bofe be found at MacroVisions homepage. And I've found out a swedish company that's fix SafeDisc version in CD:s. So you can gues the rest of the fact by your self. But any way, kind of off-topic, but, did you know the MacroVisions have unwarpers for SafeDisc and the demo can be downloaded. if you supply the right information. To the releated thing to this topic thread: I think it is a new Protection as StarForce 3. So the backup tools developer like Blindwrite and Alcohol-Software might update soon with the propper settings. Or it will take awhile....just waith for a minute or two :p. |
here is an interesting NFO about tages from the
