Making back-up from C&C Generals CD 2

How can I make a back-up CD from C&C Generals disc 2?
With CloneCD it doesn't work and I also copied the files to my hard disk and then copied them on CD (with easy CD creator 4) but that doesn't work too. How can I burn it good?

I believe C&C Generals is protected with Safedisk 2.8
You can try using Alcohol 120% to copy it using it's Safedisk 2 profile. You will also need to consider the ATIP protection. This means that you cannot play the game from a cd-writer unless you use the feature "Hide CD-R Media" in the Alcohol tray icon.
If you cannot make a 1:1 copy with Alcohol, then you can copy the files to your hard drive, add the appropriate crack (download it from GameCopyWorld) and then burn back to cd-r using the same cd-label.
To apply a crack, install the game then copy over the cracked exe to the game's folder. (It's best to make a backup of the original exe before you replace it.)
When you download a crack from GCW, it will normally be in RAR format. This is a compression format somewhat like a zip file. Download Winrar 3 to open the file and extract the cracked exe.

Just copy it with clone cd and download the crack from gamecopy world. Search for my topic to find the best crack wich wil let you play online if you have a proper serial number/cd key

I do have a working crack but when I have to install it I need CD 2, this one doesn't work if I burn it with cloneCD or from my hard disk. I shall try alcohol120%

For C&C Generals you need to copy over two cracked files - the generals.exe and game.dat
And then for newer versions, use the v1.00 cracked generals.exe and download the new game.dat crack for that version.

The crack was already working, but I need to make a copy from

CD 2

if I copy it it won't work

SO I don't need a crack to play the game I only need a way to copy CD 2 so I can install it.

When your burner is not able to make a working backup of this Safedisc2 protected game, install it once with your original cds and use a NoCD Crack to play it.
This one time use of the disc will not damage it.

Do you have the original cds ???

I don't think it's because my burner that I can't copy it right, I just want to know HOW I can burn it so it will work.

Most, if not all, Command & Conquer games have the Safedisk protection in the setup.exe as well as the main exe. If this game does too then you can either try to create a 1:1 copy using Alcohol (and also enable Ignore Media Type in the Emulation menu in the tray icon if you use it in a cdwriter.)
Or you can get a cracked version of the setup.exe and use replace the original one with the cracked version.
Also, have you labelled the cd correctly as it may just be cd-checks.

You should goto www.cdkiller2002.tk and download cdkiller's ProtectionID, it'll tell you what the setup.exe file has.

Oops, typo with the address as shown below. Fixed now

if your not making a 1:1 then you dont need to use clone cd
just copy all the files from cd 2 to a directory on your hard disk and use nero to burn it to cd, making sure the files and folders are still in the same format.
once the game is installed you can then apply the crack.
