'problem with disc.. may be dirty or scratched'???

I keep getting this message. Some games boot right off one time, next time I get this message. I have 2 boxed im trying on one with x2lite, one with cheapmod. I tried on 2 different media types.
Has anyone seen this and why is it doing it and how to fix it?
I dont think its the back-ups b/c they play fine one time..

Thanks!

It's probably the game. I mean, because it's a backup. This ussually happens to specific games though.

For example, 007:Agent Under Fire will give you this message 80% of the time (for almost evertone I've talked to). No matter what media to use, that message appears. Much like Halo's glitch when you try to play multiplayer.

I'm not saying that that is your problem, but some games it always happens, no matter what methods are used.

hmm

If i tinker with the laser...sometimes i can get it to load...but then halfway through the game it freezes. That goes for even real games.

Are you using dvd or cd on what brand media? What game is it? If you are using dvd with good media try burning it on a slower speed.

i am reliably informed this is new media check protection from microsoft. go to xbox-scene.com and get program called Craxtion and use the XBE patcher in the tools section and then reburn or ftp back to xbox.problem solved
:)
