DVDxCOPY EXPRESS Released

This new product from the dvdxcopy folks allows you to fit a dvd movie onto one disc, similar to that of dvd2one and dvd shrink. Check it out here. Best of all, it is free to download if you are a registered user of dvdxcopy.

How does it work without taking out screens? You can put on a dvd-r without losing any of the movie? I realize it will take out the menu and the extras, but I usually do that anyways and still need two dvd-r's

It will compress the movie, like DVD2One and DVDShrink does.

It will be interesting to see if it works better than "DVD Shrink" which is freeware.

Would love to hear from anyone using this new program.

I rate them like this:

1. DVD2One

2. DVD Shrink

I quite using DVD X Copy because I considered it quite lame early on.

DVD2one is better in my book because, removes the dual layer pause in the movies that have it. I also think it has better quality with less hassle.

DVD Shrink is also very good because it allows the user to set their own personal downgrade percentage. But it dosnt remove macrovision or the dual layer pause.

dude 05-05-2003 11:19

thats the point of the demo to show you what it can do.
it's meant to make you want to buy the full version

If you would have read what the website said you would have seen: "The trial version of DVD X Copy XPRESS will allow you to make a partial backup of a movie"

@bighap

I used an early version way back when that only allowed to split movies onto 2 dvdr. Then it put that annoying label screen on the beginning. It put a sour taste in my mouth right off so I stopped using it. I may give it a shot later tonight and post my results. That is if I have enough time of course.

If you want to remove the backup screen you can follow this guide. Or if you don't want to sit there and watch the screen for 10 seconds, hit stop then play and it will be gone.
