skies of arcadia echelon release ?
 

Hi ! i got the echelon release of skies of arcadia, in the .nfo file, it sais that this version is a ntsc one, but browsing the cd (using daemontools) i can see foreign langage such as french, spanish ... is it really the usa version (which works on vgabox) ? or is it the pal version ?(which does not work on vgabox) ? did echelon rippe only one version ?

AFAIK Echelon's release is the only one that fits in 2 CDs, due to their custom compression on the fly. Every other version is a NUKE. The only PAL version known to be ripped is the Trial version released by DrastiC. I don't know if anybody else tried to emulate Echelon's compression scheme. If it did, it came out as private release.

I don't think so, i have got a french version ripped by echelon wiht 2cd ( i am at the end of the first cd in the game) and i am sure now that it is not the trial version

The version is most certainly EURO (PAL) but there are often multilanguage files in US releases anyway.

The "NTSC" part in their nfo means the screen mode in runs it.

Echelon never ripped any french version. If yours is, it's a hacked repack or, as DarkFalz states, a PAL or US multilanguage game.
I don't know if Echelon's rip is PAL or US, but on thing is sure: they ripped it only once.

$10 is daylight robbery, that's what I was selling them for 2 years ago (I'm in Australia too). I sell them for $5 now, including my own HQ rips.

On my skies copy the echelon intro with the trainer says its the euro version of skies. I finished my game and it has not a single bug. But indeed the screen runs 60hz which is good as the store release runs 50.

The original is much better, none of those annoying pauses during play. The music also messes up in the Echelon release during the end credits (decompressor can't keep up). They'd have been smart to make their decompressor skip P04 (ADPCM) files which are already compressed. No VGA either.

Tell me you're selling ORIGINALS, and not copies !

By the way - does anyone of you experienced any sound and fmv skippings while playing the echelon release ?
