I'm trying to play a backup copy of Everquest Online. And it's not letting me, this is the error message I get:

Authentication Error (-402)
A machine information error has been dtected
Please write down the error code number, and contact Customer Service at 1-866-466-5333, or by email at [email protected]

Other then the obvious (to use original) is there a way to get around this. I have a no-solder mod and a V7 PS2. Thanks in advance everyone:cool:

hmm sounds like it knows its a copy i to have ever quest online but no online code so i never played it online i only used it 1 time

I'm thinking it has something to do with the update it's forced to take. When I first used the backup I was able to log on and it stated the game needed to update. Once it updated, I needed to reset b/c I have a no-solder chip and use a swap trick. When I started the game up again, as soon as it connects to the internet...it would give me the error message above. I hope all the future online games don't start to do this:mad:
