CloneCD to copy software
 

Hi,
I keep getting "Failed to read sector **" errors on the log when i try to backup my microsoft encarta cd, my reader is 52x, is this too fast for copying? I'm using CloneCD4.2, also should i use Multimedia Audio CD option or Protected PC Game option when copying an Installation CD? Also will CloneCD detect the protection used while copying or do i have to configure it, the protection on my CD is SafeDisc. Thanks.

The read errors from sectors ~800-10000 are normal for the Safedisk protection.
If it takes too long to read the errors then download Daemon Tools >> www.daemon-tools.net << and read about it's Fast Dump feature in it's online manual.
Clone CD won't detect the copy protection on the cd - download Clony XXL to scan the cd. Or use cdkiller's program to scan an individual exe or dll (www.cdkiller2002.tk)
