where to buy wires for the messiah 2?
 

My friend just bought a messiah 2 and we were going to try and install it but we cannot find the 32 gauge insulated copper wire aroung here anywhere if anyone can tell us somewhere to buy this it would help out alot .. thanks in advance for any help :D

I've done all my installations using 30awg kynar "wrie wrap".

I buy it at Radio Shack.

30 awg kynar is fine for version 4-7 and I suggest you use it. If you are installing on a version 1-3, not recommended due to bad laser, you will need the 32awg. On these earlier versions you will have to solder to and extremely small chip. I seriously would not recommend trying to install on these early versuion if you are not an expert at soldering.

30 awg kynar is nearly impossible to solder to the DVD controller legs on the older version PS2's. But on v5-v7, it's not an issue at all.

U might want to use something a bit thicker for the 3.5v and ground connections. Have had a couple of m2's that have played dead with awg30 on power and ground. I usually use any thin multi core wire I have lying around and works fine, Also if u gonna make the clock wire a twisted pair its a good idea to use slightly thicker single core wire for the grounded line of the pair.
