no solution to y pos problem
 

okay....1st off my scenerio...i have a mutisystem Sony TV (pal/ntsc), NTSC U/C PS2.. and a copy of splinter cell (pal) original and a copy of kalistos release, the same title.. problem is game plays in 50hz pal with colour on my Tv and the flickering really irritates..patch the game with PSchimps patch PAL 2 NTSC..game turned 60hz with no selection, but screen is stretch and is not centralised at the Y axis and game does not provide any screen pos option...ive read thru every post in this forum and come to a conclusion that no one knows how to fix this problem, unless paradox comes out with a Y-fix patch..am i right to say?

This is common when patching a game. Some games have a screen position option under the game options that can help this problem. Try using this pal2ntsc/ntsc2pal tool. It might be better.
