Pioneer A05/Fw 1.30 & Ritek G03!!!
 

I just wanted to inform everyone.....

I successfully flashed my A05/Fw 1.21 to 1.30....

It will now burn 1X rated Ritek G03's at 2X....:)

I have heard that people were not having success at burning at 2X with this firmware, so I decided to try it myself.....

Works perfectly for me.....:)

Actually there is a hack for this drive already I've been using it for a couple of weeks and it works great, you can burn any DVD-R at 2x and it's safe since most dvd-rs can be burned at 2x, but because of politics they won't let us.

dose it hurt the games ?
 

dose burning @ 2x speed hurt the backups cause some peps say burning 2x will make costers i made all my games 1x but i did a few at 2x and they seem to work but i did have trouble loading 1 time it froze so i figerd that was the problem my ritek can burn 2x will my dvd-r so if it works fine i will do it from now on i h8 the long wait of burning games

I have 2 V7 moded with Magic 3.1 (both) and I have backed up many games at 2x and they play fine. I noticed that when the game loads, like right after you insert the disc and the laser begins to read it it makes a noise, I noticed the noise was louder with games burned at 1x than games burned at 2x (this are cheap lead data discs).
I also noticed dvd movies would load faster on my dvd player when burned at 2x.

I burn all my games on 1x Ritek at 2x no problem.
