I got a Plextor 48/24/48A and was trying to make a copy of a game that has SafeDisc V2 protection on it and it was able to read it but when I burn a cd it does not work. the image works fine because I am able to mount it to a virtual drive and it works but not he burned cd. I had a plextor 12/10/32A and that one worked just fine till it broke down.

I had to buy this model but it does not work. Which model works with SafeDisc?

You may not be taking the ATIP check into consideration - for an overview on ATIP check the FAQ thread in the PC Games forum.
Basically, try playing the backup in a non-cdwriter or alternatively turn on Hide CD-R Media (Clone CD) or Ignore Media Type (Alcohol)
