Ok so now I have Evox1.8.3752 now just to be sure...
 

I managed to finally find and download the Evox. So now after I install the Mod chip I transfer the the evox onto the new hd and then the other data from the original drive and then I should be up and running, also can I use the XBox's original drive as a slave on my PC??

You also have to format the drive. There is an evoX admin. tool that will do everything for you, even copy the files. I suggest you do a bit of searching for it.

And you can put the xbox drive in the PC, but you have to unlock it first, then format it. I DO NOT suggest doing it as it would become useless to your xbox, and can be a very handy backup. Besides, 8gb isn't really worth it.
