ms dashboard prob
i recently tried to install an on/off switch to my x2 lite. it works fine on but when i turn it off i get a weird, "contact tech support screen" with the number 13 in the top left.
i think this is because it's not recognizing my ms dashboard. so i tried to load the ms dashboard from evox and it just resets back to evox. also i resently upgraded evox to the newest one and i know my ms dashboard work on the older version of evox. basically wondering if there are any probs with the new evox regarding the ms dashboard and how would i fix it. |
in order for the xbox to boot with the chip off, the original xbox dashboard has to be named "xboxdash.xbe", and the evolutionX dashboard should be named "evoxdash.xbe".
|
that makes sence, but why can i not boot from my msdashboard.xbe from my evox main menu?
|
well, it depends on what your xbox dashboard's name is. Open the evox.ini file. If you look near the top, it should say something like "xbox dashboard" or "original dash". It has to be "c:\xboxdash.xbe" (assuming the evolutionX dashboard is named "evoxdash.xbe").
|
i had the exact screen message on my xbox when i was messing with some homebrew aps. i changed the original dash etc but made no difference in the end i had to overwrite the xbox hdd with a copy i made of my original untampered hdd.
now every thing is ok and i put evox and other apps back on |
dude check your private massages!
|
i put the original dash back on like you said and re-installed evox and still the same problem.
for some reason i think that the xbox is not picking up the msdash when the mod is switch off. is there some modification you have to make to the evox.ini when you install a switch on the x2lite |
