Rayman 3 backup problems

I am trying to make a backup of Rayman 3 onto DVD-R and everytime I try to make a copy it is constantly giving me write errors. I tried using various software (RecordNow, Nero, etc) and none of them are working. I've also tried backing it onto hard drive first. The game is brand new and blemish free. Does anyone know a solution for this?

Thanks

What burner? What media? Is your burner set to master?

I'm using a Sony DRU500AX burner and a Pioneer 16x DVD drive.
the Sony is the slave and the pioneer is the master.

I'm using Memorex DVD-Rs

I've backed up about 30 games so far, but I'm not sure why this one is giving me such trouble

Memorex are kinda crappy. You might want to get some better media such as Ritek. If you are using your dvd-rom to read, try using your burner to read instead too.

Memorex=crap=dont use. From Self experience. I only use Ritek and Verbatim

r u doing on the fly copy from 1 to other.

Try using burner to read an image then write back to burner.

also verbatim suck. Only dvd-r I ever had in my dvd burner that crapped out in mid burn and the ones that did work wouldn't run in my version 5 or 7. stick to ritek. they is best.

Also change your dvd burner to master not slave.

Good Luck!

Where is the best place to buy Ritek DVD-Rs?

Thanks for the suggestions!!!

Well here are the places to price check. I have only ordered from shop4tech and allmediaoutlet -

shop4tech.com
allmediaoutlet.com
rima.com
meritline.com
cdrdvdrmedia.com

as of now(4/14) cdrdvdrmedia.com has the lowest price for a 25pk of Riteks. prices do change daily though.
