Don't use an ISO maker. Use the DATA BURN method.

Works a lot better!

AXmichigan 10-04-2003 14:30

oo yea dude's data burn is like the number one successor for everyone so far

PassWolf 13-04-2003 13:58

Data burn

I agree, data burn method works about 98% of the time. Id say ISo's work about 80 - 85%. maybe its just me but alot of Iso's dont boot or freeze during game play. If you really want to use Iso method though then get a proggie called Xiso. Its a small program which is available on the net and other chat networks. Just look around for it.

it aint too hard to find
it should be easy enough

dude 13-04-2003 14:40

I agree the "DATA BURN" method is so far the best method for burning xbox games with a higher degree of success compared to the iso method.

also as pointed out by HANS COBBO if you patch the default.xbe file prior to burning ( yes and even the games which don't need it) they tend to boot up slightley faster.

AXmichigan 13-04-2003 15:06

wait
so theres like only a universal patch needed?
not some for certain games?

dude 13-04-2003 15:16

the ones i use are copyhaunters.xbe patcher.exe now in version 2.0

simpley create a temp folder as usual open the patch tool and select the default.xbe file the press patch.
job done
now burn as normal data burn

hans.

you discovered that if you patch the game it boots faster so you deserve the credit.

HANS_COBBO 14-04-2003 15:00

I know, thanx a lot:D

O ya one more thing DO NOT USE XISO.......if u ever looked around u should no that.......iso maker uses GDFimage which if what ms uses to make 100% working copies...beleive me

dude 18-04-2003 10:19

i have tried every and i mean every single xbox iso tool out. makes no difference at all you still get a high degree of failures.
i on the other hand have created over 150 data backups every single one works perfect the slowest to load is draGONS LAIR 3D TAKES 7.652 seconds to load precisley i know i timed it. also if you patch the default.xbe with copyhaunters.xbe patcher the games boot faster by about 2-4 seconds

i have had my v 1 xbox since it was launched and got it chipped as soon as one was released. i took the mod out and replaced it with a matrix about 6 months ago, i have had absolutley no problems with the lense.
i clean my xbox lense every single day with a cd lense cleaner the kind with brushed mounted on it. cost me £1.00 sterling thats about $1.65 us pretty cheap method to keep the xbox healthey.

dude 18-04-2003 10:21

oh yeah which sega games are you refering as iv'e burned several all using the data method.

ie sega gt 2002 , jetset radio future etc.
