help w/ action replay
 

i just purchased an action replay but my backups can't seem to load up after i load up action replay w/ codes enabled. i have a ps2 ver4 w/ messiah2 pro modchip. i used ritek dvd-r's. what can i do?

Does it load without codes? If not the two may just disagree. Are you sure you have a real messaih 2, not a clone? I thought Charlie's review said it worked. You might of gotten something else.

haven't tried loading 'em without codes yet. i hope i have the real messiah2 pro. i mailed it out to get modded. is there any way i can tell if it's legit or not? btw, the gameshark does work on backups.

Yeah, messiah 2 pro works fine with ar2. I have two different versions of ar2 and they both work fine.

I don't know how to tell the difference on the inside of a machine, but try backups of some of the ones Magic's have problems with, like GTA:Vice City, and I can'tr remember any other ones right now. Try asking one of the chippers about visual differenciating. Maybe checking against a wiring diagram will help to tell.

You just put in a backup and hold reset for 5 seconds. If it were a messiah 2 this would disable it resulting in the backup not booting.
