Ripping question?
 

Ok guy's iknow this has been asked a few (thousand) times lol
But i have just bought a new system with a dvd/rw and want to back up my dvd collection and also back-up my ps2 games for the little angels lol

I have been reading the posts and having never attempted dvd writing i am getting baffled a little with all the contradicting advice about wot proggies to use.
What i want to do with my dvd collection is to be able to back them up, but most of my collection is multi-region (ie reg 1,2,3,4) and i want to be able take the region coding out and then get the dvd onto just one disc...ie compress.
So what proggies would be the best to use for this and where can i get the tutorials?

I don't think my ps2's will be a problem because i have downed recordnowmax 2.5 as advised and am going to give it a whirl.

Thank's in advance....cos i don't wanna go lashing out x amount of cash buying serials only to make a absolute hash of it all...lol

I use the following programs.

1. DVD Decypter, available from www.dvddecrypter.com

2. DVD2One, available from www.dvd2one.com

3. Nero, available from nero.com

You use the software in the order I've listed them to get the DVD movie onto one DVD-R without any noticable loss in picture quality.

I'm not sure if you can disable Region Codes, perhaps someone else on the forum could answer that.

Smartripper can take out the region code - although DVD Decryptor may be able to as well, I've never checked.

2.5 sucks. Download this file. It will upgrade you to 4.50. Then you will be set for your ps2 games.:)

P.S. Sorry Bighap type error on my post i have got record max 4.5 not 2.5 as posted...Did see your posts previous and followed your advice...just got to learn how to type a little more carefully and check posts hehehehehe.
