TOCA Race Driver still protected !?!
Hi Folks,
as said in the Intro, the Game is protected by a "new" fading copy-protection. After finishing the first Championship and starting the second, the Cars at starting-grid began to jump around like bunnies on L$D  Used the fixed exe included on CD released by Immersion... Has somebody played beyond the 2-3rd championship? maybe there's another crack that works..? |
hmmm....i smell a warez version here:o
|
Say hello to Securom *custom* protection:D Hmm.. I thought
that IMS did a proper crack on this one...well, if you got the original game, it should be no problem..you do have the original, do you? Edit: Deviance released a proper fix, so obviously IMS missed some checks in the exe |
Indeed i had not the Original :D
But i really check them out before buying them, and Folks this is worth its money. Tomorrow i will go out and buy me a german version. thnx anyway |
Hi im here!!!! yes here I found an idea
I found an idea from the forum below
FileForums > GameCopyWorld > PC Games > DTM Race Driver Crack ! DONT WORK anyway it didnt work for me but it worked for my mate! try it! good luck if you get a no cd key then drop me a line @ [email protected] |
I'm sorry my previous post on how to make the Deviance crack into a no-CD was being done from my memory. My hard drive had crashed. Now with a new hard drive I've "remembered."
Use the 'proper' Deviance No-CD. Copy all of the contents of the 'Play Disk' into your game install directory (include all folders and all files). Use regedit: Goto 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Codemasters\Race Driver\' Modify the CD Path so it contains the game install directory. For Example "C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Race Driver\" instead of "D:\" Now you have a No-CD! |

So where is the proper crack then? The Deviance one right?
I have to report that with this crack it can be NoCDed (at leat in my case) by the method described above, not sure any weird problem will come, though. |
That's the trouble with those damn custom protections. Thanks to good old Codemaster we can't ever be certain if some wierd car behavior was designed that way, or maybe a bug, or maybe the ****ty copy protection kicking in. AAAAAAARGH :D
