PS2 No Solder Games That Do Not Work
 

Is there anyway we can get a sticky on a list of games that will not work for the no solder ps2's?

also is it confirmed that Splinter Cell does not work?

Here is a list I have so far of games that do not work with the no solder:

Harry Potter
MLB 2004 (989 Sports)
Suikoden 3

I have also heard All Star Baseball 2004 and Clocktower 3 do not work, any confirmation here?

them games listed only wont work with boot magic my gs2 no solder v6 plays clock tower 3 just fine

i've got ver 7 no solder with swap magic 2 and splinter cell is working perfectly.

Dunno bout your other games though.

I posted a list of games that don't work with the swap magic discs a while back. Do a search for posts under my name and you'l find it somewhere there.

so if i get a gameshark more games will work instead of using the swap magic disks? and is splinter cell out yet? i didnt think it was...

Sorry m8 but you can't use gameshark or action replay 2 on a version 7 machine

Somehow it understands that the double swap has been made and there is NO possible way of you doing it. Trust me, i've had a v7 with this mod since the v7 first hit the stores and i've been tryin to find a way around it just for fun!
I've got a v5 test machine with messiah 1 so not really an issue upgrading my mod yet but i suggest you simply pay the price and get a messiah 2 for your v7.

i just found your post and i have another ? for you. i had a problem backing up hitman 2 for my ps2 while copying the discs image. should i not worry about trying it again because it will not work on my system?

Actually, my generic gameshark overload method might be helpful for you in the case of double-swaps. :) It was appended to one of the sticky boot method threads. Check it out.

Yeah, Splinter cell in general doesn't work on no-solders. Some people it works for but most it doesn't.

has any 1 tried the over load method on a v7 ps2 i think i will have to give that a shot i got both gs2 and v7 no solder and v6 no solder and i thought u could use ar2 on v7 i read some were u could guess they was wrong

Most Rips work with no soldier chips, you just need to apply nomod patches.

OR just get a real mod chip and you don't have to worry about any of this BS.:)
