Patch for Deus ex game

I have a premodded ps2 with the mesiah pro and works fine with my backups until I tried the game dues ex. I put the original game in and it said to insert a formatted ps2 disk. The company told me I might need a patch. When I asked for help, he could not give me any info, just to search in ps2 forums. My question is the exactly is a patch for the backup game, how to I obtain it, and how do I put it on my backup game. Someone please help me.:

Is this a cdr or DVD-r version of Deus EX?
If you have messiah 2 fitted then u shouldn't need to worry about patching it unless it's already been patched for the no-swap method of booting, I'll elaborate...

If u have a DVD-r version of Deus-Ex then it should boot straight up no problems. U won't need a patch.

If u have the CDR version and you r using a messiah 2 Pro then u shouldn't need to patch it either.....

unless it has already had a patch applied by the people u got it from.

In days gone by before the glorious days of messiah it was possible to use other means to get backups/imports to run other than modchip, however to get them to work required adding a 'Patch' th the game. This meant that u created an image of the game u wanted to back-up on your harddrive and then used a patch and patch application program to alter the game image. When u had patched the image then u could write the image back to cdr or dvd-r.

Using this method u can change games from pal to ntsc and vice versa, remove copy protection and add trainers to the game.

U should be okay though and the only reason I can think that it wouldn't work is that u got a gash back-up.

If u need any more info then PM me.

Regards
