Making backups with integrated updates.

This is probably a silly question but I'm wondering if its possible to add current updates to a game and then back it up so it will install that way without having a seperate folder on the backup CD and manually installing it that way?

I mean can you somehow update to your backup CD?

It's possible for some and not possible for others. I don't think it is a good idea anyway. What game are you talking about?

Maybe not directly update the game but you can add the patch file to an image with tools like WinIso.

Hey guys, install the retail version of the game from the CD, apply all the available updates, extract all related registry entries into a file, compress the whole thing with an archiver and burn it back to CD. Then you won't have to bother with the stupid, slow install _and_ upgrade bull**** everytime you wanna play.

That's what I do.

Joe
