Warcraft 3 anyone?

I am trying to make a copy of Warcraft III so that I can play it with my roommates on our LAN, but the game doesn't recognize the copied version as the real deal. Does anyone know what file I might have to add with the copied version or is there something special I have to do? any help would be great! thanks

Copy the corresponding crack over to the installed directory?
