Its not a usb mod, its a pnp mod.Installation is exactly the same as the v5 and v6 no solder mods except 1 wire can be soldered to the base of the motherboard which allows you to boot 80min rips

u have to solder 1 wire on the no solder mods to play 80 min cdrs i got a v5-v6 pnp no solder and mine wont boot 80 min cdrs

1 other thing

o and no gameshark2 will boot backups on a ver7 ps2 sony fixed that glitch but u can use action replay 2 it will boot them and bootmagic will only boot certen dvd-rs so the ones u listed prob some that cant boot i got burnout 2 it boots on my game shark but takes forever to load when first starting what i would do is sell ur ver 7 or trade it and get a ver 6 or 5 with no solder mod and use ur gameshark it boots ever thing i got so far or buy u a no swap chip and have it install

Sounds like too much trouble to me.....

I would just get a Messiah 2 and be DONE with it......

I understand its MORE expensive up front.... BUT the rewards are WORTH EVERY PENNY......

What exactly do you mean by the base of the motherboard? Could someone clue me in on exactly where the 1 solder point for the pnp mod is? Thanks!

BEWARE: that info was about the "Ace Key" version of the mod.
