help w/ pioneer ao5U installation
i need y'alls help. i just installed this dvd-r writer by replacing it w/ my sony cd writer. i also have a regular dvd-rom drive on my computer. when i turned on my computer it booted straight to my desktop as if there was no detection of the new writer or any problems that were detected. i clicked on system properties and there's a yellow flag on "second IDE controller(dual fifo) which is located under "Hard Disk controller". i'm going to reboot my computer again hoping this could help. btw:
win 98 128 mb ram 13 gb harddrive (7.5 gb free) i appreciate your help. ps. i placed it as a slave, while my regular dvdrom is the master. |
When booting back up hit F1 or F2, what ever takes you to the setup screen. To add a new drive you have to set it up in there.
a05 should be the master.
what's next at setup screen?
what do i do when i get to that screen? should i go ahead and make the dvdr the master and the dvdrom the slave? could i take out the jumper out of the dvdr? or not?
Your A05 needs to be set as master.
make sure jumper on the ao5 is set to master as well
So dose the A05 need to be master to work or not?
