ok I really probably the worst person ever on mod chips but I need to back up my games and install linux. but I need advice on witch 1 to buy for a v 1.0. I am on a tight budget so I can't aford 300$ to buy 1. the max price i will pay is 70$ canadian. so if you have any suggestions please tell me.

It depends. Do you have XBL installed or plan on getting it?

If you do, then I suggest the x-ecuter 2 lite.

If you have no plans on getting XBL, then I suggest getting the x-ecutor v1. It is cheaper than the x-ecutor 2 lite, but doesn't have the extra features that make it easier to copy games with Xbox Live installed.

I thought you can't play XBL even though any modchip including the x-ecuter 2 lite. I have the x-ecuter 2 lite and I was wondering about the online issue.

You right, you can't on any chip. But, the x2 lite bios enable the xbox to boot to evoxdash.xbe when the chip is on, and when you turn it off it boots to the normal dash.

If you had the x-ecuter v1, you would have to keep switching between dashboards manually everytime you want to copy a game then later go on XBL. That can get annoying :D
