PC games won't read
 

Its weird whenever my friends burn games the copies work fine on there comp but when I try it the game installs but the CD doesn't read for some reason. Why is it it only happens on my computer is there something wrong with my CD drive

what CD drive you have?????

Are you running XP????? (what Version):confused: :confused:

I am running windows 98, and I have a CDRW Philips 1200 drive

Why are you trying to run their backups ? Have you by any chance, read the board rules ?

no I meant whenever I make a copy it doesn't work on my computer but when my friends make a copy it works for them. I make at least one copy of my game because I usually lose of break the original.

Ok, your first post was not very clear... So, any backups you make with your writer can't be even READ in the same drive ? Or do you have another cdrom/dvdrom drive and do those refuse to read the backups ? And if you try one of your friends' backups, do those work in your drive ? Do other cd's work in that drive ?
