Sim City 4 No-CD/Fixed EXE Cracks WONT WORK
 

I've tried using many of the no-cd and fixed exe cracks for sim city 4, and I can't get any of them to work. I've tried the myth/deviance, deviance, fairlight, and vigor cracks- ALL with the same problem.

i've successfully installed sim city 4, and when i try to start the game it checks for the correct cd and wont let me play...

so after I install the crack... when i try to start the game it shuts down, and restarts my computer!

since these patches are made by different people, and getting the same error, i assume that it is a problem with my system...

is there any way I can fix this? am i the only person having this problem? It seems like i've tried everything short of creating my own crack.

I'm using Windows XP... any other system specs you might need to help, just ask. ANY help would be appreciated

What happens when you put the correct CD in?

turn off anti aliasing on your video card?
does it happen with the original cd in the drive?
have you installed direct x 9 ?

when i use the original cd, the game works fine.
i do have the latest directX
i tried turning off AA, and had the same problem

What region are you in?

i live in the united states

If none of the existing cracks work, you can use Alcohol120% to make a hard disk image of your original cd. As long as you have an original, this will always work (for future patches and other games too). There is not much else I can tell you. Those cracks do work for most people. I take it you know that fixed exe's still need the cd, and that you made sure you only tried nocd's right ?

yeah, ive tried all the NO-CDs... i dont really want to create a harddisk image though, because it would take up about 1.2 gigs of space.

i just wish i could figure out why this doesnt work on my computer, and my computer alone.

I actually installed the game on my friends computer, updated the game, and applied the no-cd crack... it worked fine. (of course for legal reasons i uninstalled it, wink wink)

you only need one CD1
And it take about 700 - 800 MB :p

Have U patch to the latest patch on SimCity 4 and download the latest crack? Test that!

yeah... i've tried using the latest sim patch along with the latest no-cd patch.
