What version of RecordNow are you using? If you aren't using 4.5, I suggest you upgrade to it.

Is your drive set as master? Do you have enough space on your hard drive? Have you tried Nero?

I had the exact same issue happen me with veritas recored now and my new sony drux500a. I am running win2k.
To avoid this I use the sony drive to read and also to write.
I haven't experienced the problem since.
Also do not use the wizard, just use the copy button, there is an option to reduce the read speed from max to medium. This helps.
Also in options you can choose how many times programme reads a section before giving up and showing error message.
I increased that too.

Only problem I have now is sometimes when I playback a movie -it freezes, I think it is the crappy bulkpaq media I am using.
