Yes you can. This is what I did and I no longer need flashFXP.

So can this be done with another OS other then XP? I have XP so I cant really test to see if it can be. But I remeber mapping drives with Windows95...

i know it can with win2000. There's another guide here for that. not sure if it's the same for win98-.

i tried this ..

The X-box freezes as soon as explorer tries to view the contents of the drives, anyone else having these problems ??

BTU ... I`m using a Linksys router, with non static IP ..

Flashxpe is ok with file transfers though !!

No, I'm not having that prob, my prob is My Network Places locks up when I go there.

I have never been able to copy things off the xbox to another folder in the same windows explorer window.

I usually open up 2 explorers. One is the xbox, the other is the place i'm copying to. Placed them side by side.

I`m using a program called ACEFTP, seems a lot more stable than the flashxpe program .... i can get through a complete disk transfer, without having to keep reseting the x-box, or network connection !! ... Faster too
